Syed Nasserudeen, born in Chennai and brought up in several places of India, had a Goa connection right from birth, as his maternal uncle lived in Goa. After his formal education, he moved to The Gulf and worked as a HR and Administration Officer for almost two decades.
Though it all seemed fine, he was always bored of his desk job that had him sitting for hours together. Certain personal issues brought him to Goa in 2013 for good and he felt at home here like no other place. After a few months of uncertainty, he decided to start a Travel Agency “Rahi Travels & Communications”. His love for Goa, adventure and his nature of giving his clients total satisfaction, made this venture work.
Business was picking up. Customers not only were loyal to him but also recommended his name to others. Though he was doing decent business, there was the desk job once again, keeping him on the desk booking tickets for hours together!
In 2016, his wife Rahila Khan, who was working on a show with Goa’s most popular Fashion Photographer, Mr. Prasad Pankar, suggested that he should enroll himself for a Photography Course. The reason for this was she noticed that whenever they went out for events or travelled to places, while she enjoyed nature and talking to people, he kept capturing back memories on his mobile phone. For hours he could click pictures and be happy by himself.
Meeting Mr. Prasad Pankar and taking up a course in Fundamentals of Photography was a turning point in his life. In Prasad Pankar he found a teacher, a friend, an inspiration all rolled in one. Mr. Prasad Pankar is loved and adored by all his students as he gives his 100% to his profession. Prasad Pankar not only taught the technical aspects of photography but also many social aspects. Doing what you love to do, following your dream, clicking pictures from your heart and not just the camera, FEELING the picture before you click, are some of the important aspects of photography learnt with Prasad Pankar.
Syed, suddenly felt energetic and in love with his new-found profession. He wasn’t working for the sake of working anymore, he loved his work. Encouragement from family, friends and clients made him confident in handling photo shoots at bigger scale. He has done shoots for parties, properties and tours, but Fashion Shows bring out the best in him as he admires the clothes, the accessories, the setup and all the hard work that goes behind making the models look glamorous.
He has covered events like “THE COUTURE SHOW”, “THE INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK” and the recently concluded “INDIA JEWELLERY WEEK”. His studio is getting ready at Porvorim, Goa and he looks forward to making Fashion Portfolios, Catalogues and the like.
At 44 years, he started his new life and he’s as excited with each step he is taking as a year old should be!
