Neeta Vijay Kumar, a multi-faceted woman who juggles between her different deeds so evidently, shares her journey with RageNyou. She is a jewellery designer, a teacher and a writer and amidst all this, one component that has kept her running all these years is the jewelleries she has created until now. Jewellery designing is something that grabbed her attention during the second year of her under graduation program, her interest for accessories and street shopping helped her kick-start the business. Her jewelleries are made out of different metals, charms and beads, and the unique factor is that she customizes them according to the needs of the buyer. One could get a sneak peek of the varieties of her jewelleries on her social media pages ‘Stardom Accessories’.
She begins with her story, “One fine day, when I was all set for street shopping in my hometown (Kochi), I came across this one shop that had varieties of jewellery and my eyes were just filled with hearts, I was left clueless after seeing them as it was hard for me to choose. So this led to the first step, where I bought the basic necessities in bulk to make them on my own. I started making them initially for myself and then thought I would sell them to my friends and classmates at reasonable rates”. Post her under graduation program, she was placed at a job that gave her a sense of utmost satisfaction viz. ‘a teacher’. So according to her work timings, she started balancing both her work and her business life.
This lady, who has been juggling her hat so well and professionally, has also managed to sell close to two hundred jewelleries in the past three months. The designer is also cautious and conscious about the designs she incorporates, though she doesn’t dwell on the success of her product, she is more concerned about the output and the customer satisfaction. Moreover, if there are any issues with the jewellery, she ensures to fix it free of cost or get the product replaced with a new one. Though she is all set to establish this business, she’s yet to decide on setting up a boutique, stall or a studio. At present, she has her niche market and uses the online medium to take orders and manage her sales.
