When the first season of StarLife ‘Mr & Miss India’ grabbed attention all over India, STARLIFE received much applause, in spite of it being their first attempt. The brain behind all this success was Hemant Garg! This financial analyst turned entrepreneur shares his transition from an employee to an employer
Born and brought up in Gwalior (MP), Hemant was a teen with a vision, who wanted to be a self-made entrepreneur. In order to pursue his dreams, he refused in taking up his family business and left his home at the age of 17 to Indore. Thus, he began his chase towards his dreams by preparing for the ‘All India MAT’ examinations, in which he secured a graceful score of 98%.
He joined the C.H Institute of Management studies in Indore (2009) and completed his Post-Graduation in Management. He always had the dream of ‘STARLIFE’ since 2008, but could not materialise it. He started his career as a financial analyst with Wipro, but was never happy with the job.
This unhappiness led him to work in a Travel & Tourism company in Africa. But yet again, Hemant was unsatisfied with the monthly salary and instead wanted to be someone who gives salaries. With the dream rising to the brim of his mind, he shifted back to India in August 2015 and started working towards the birth of ‘STARLIFE’.
Today, STARLIFE is a huge platform for organizing beauty pageants as well as providing jobs in the entertainment industry. Hemant believes that in every town or city, whether small or big, there is always an artist. He explains how many pageants in India are not giving a fair judgement, and that is how StarLife ‘Mr & Miss India’ came into the picture.
The first season received coverage by almost every newspaper in India and its finale was on 5th June 2017 (Delhi).
