Thanks to the social networking sites like the facebook where he could showcase his designs and help him flourish as a designer. It was one of his friends from Delhi who spotted his talent and gave him an opportunity for designing the traditional outfit for Manushi Chhillar, who dazzled the ramp for Miss India pageant 2017. Since then, there was a flow of offers from national and international arenas for him, but lack of fund to perform on such great avenues has crippled him for the time being.
Apart from designing for Manushi Chhillar, Unni krishnan has also designed the National costume for Ankitha Kumari who was the finalist in the Miss International beauty pageant held at Tokyo, Japan. Cristinas, his designer shop, is all set to spread its wings to Kochi- the fashion hub of Kerala.
