“Ever since I was a young girl, I have spent countless hours contemplating how things work, how to improve them and make them different, I’m looking to break with safe, comfortable tradition and show clothing that’s unfamiliar, a-typical, thought-provoking and experimental.”
Living up to her words, the inspirational Honee Persona is awakening a fashion style that is establishing a unique identity of its own. With HONEE as the brand name, she is currently using a distinctive fusion of cool metal and well crafted fabrics to her collection, believing that the fabric is like skin, an open canvas to decorate with the freedom of choice; where as the metal is a layer of expression, which could also be disguising at the same time. She exhibits the power of a garment.
A graduate from The Art Institute of California, Honee has come to Fashion from an industrial design and healing art background. With having a vast vocational history and accomplishments that reach far and beyond; from working in television, radio and film as an executive producer, personality/host, editor, translator, writer and also a film critic in renowned shows and TV networks; she has also been involving herself in various entrepreneurial ventures. She has truly done it all. Her explorative nature and determination seemingly quick landed Honee at her very first fashion show mounted at Madison Square Garden. By taking a trip East, she showcases oriental inspired Fashion. Although the orient Fashion trend is not new, it is surely tricky to master, and Honee has done just that- mastered it to perfection. With the collection’s concept being about “Identity”, she layered the beautiful fabrics in mind of the many layers of oneself, while also compromising many aspects of her life.
With her first show being a massive success she carried on to other fashion shows such as the New York Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Week, earning herself following of many and coverage from leading magazines. Slowly following, she had her second show at the grand Pacific Design Center, with Style, adding six more new outstanding outfits to the initial collection. In Honee’s words, her designs are geared to both Men and Women, that each piece will be made using modern textile, handmade extravagant fabrics with intricate hand painted drawings, along with a fearless use of colours, meticulously handcrafted with whimsical metal bits and bobs throughout-to re-envision it as, “fantastically unusual and intimately personal.”
Buzzing Honee was then an active member of the art jury committee of the Universe Multicultural Film Festival, 2017 and a judge at Miss Korea USA in May, 2017. The My Killing Fields Collection S/S 18 was shown in New York at the magnificent Intrepid Sea & Air Museum and in LA at the Pacific Design Center with a boost of great reviews, leading her to an invitation and show at the House of Ikons as the Grand Finale around the September of 2017 in London, which was held in aids of Prince’s Trust, supporting talented emerging designers. The Killing Fields Collection S/S 18 made an excellent impression as it was highlighted on Sky News amongst the notables, Julien MacDonald, Tommy Hilfiger, House of Holland and Top Shop, etc.
Now working on a line for Johnny Rock Page, Moto America Superbike racer, as well as excitedly working with director and film maker Romane Simon on his next movie, she is on the busy road filled with purpose and passion.
Absolutely exotic, Honee’s designs continue to blend in cultures, drawn from global inspirations with her models ever so often walking the runway layered with structure and sophistication.
